    His Royal Highness Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud, Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Visited St.Petersburg

    On May 16, 2011, Yu.V.Molchanov, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, met at Smolny with His Royal Highness Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism and historical monuments of KSA.

    On May 16, 2011, Yu.V.Molchanov, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, met at Smolny with His Royal Highness Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism and historical monuments of KSA.

    Yu.V.Molchanov, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, welcomed the guest on behalf of St.Petersburg Government and the city residents and expressed his gratitude for the attention and personal involvement in the inauguration of the exhibition “Roads of Arabia. Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia” in the State Hermitage.

    In his turn, Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud confirmed that he considered the exhibition “Roads of Arabia. Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia”as an important stage in establishing comprehensive ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and St.Petersburg, and mentioned that the priority areas for cooperation include the culture (in 2012, an exhibition of the State Hermitage Museum planned in KSA), exchange of experience in restoring the art objects, cooperation in personnel training, and tourism.

    Following the meeting, the parties agreed on sending to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a group of the CEOs of St.Petersburg travel agencies to establish the contacts with tourist companies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
