    Round Table “Collaboration between Business and Governmental Bodies: the International Dimension”

    On May 12, 2011, the round table “Collaboration between Business and Governmental Bodies: the International Dimension”, organized by the St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations and St.Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA), was run in Smolny.

    On May 12, 2011, the round table “Collaboration between Business and Governmental Bodies: the International Dimension”, organized by the St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations and St.Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA), was run in Smolny.

    The session was opened by Alexander Vladimirovich Prokhorenko, Member of St.Petersburg Government, Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations. In his speech, Alexander Vladimirovich spoke about the role of the Committee for External Relations in the development of international activities in St.Petersburg, and expressed his hope for further constructive dialogue between government agencies and businesses.

    The discussion was continued by Roman Romaniuk, Chief Editor of «DP Media», who accentuated the role of mass media in building a dialogue between business and government. In conclusion, Tatiana Leontieva, Director on Development of SPIBA, and Lolita Ebril, Co-Chair of SPIBA Committee on Marketing & Communications, told about the activities of this organization in St.Petersburg, aimed to create the favourable conditions for the development of both foreign and St.Petersburg business in North-Western Russia.

    At the end of the event, an inspection tour around Smolny was made for the participants.
