On April 19, 2011, an event for preschoolers was run in the partner city of Osaka (Japan), called “The Value of a Waterdrop”, within the framework of a joint project “Water + I = Friends” with “Vodokanal St.Petersburg”.

Mr Yukio Asadzuma, formerly Director of Japan Center in St.Petersburg, made a presentation – his lecture was aimed at increasing the knowledge of children about water. The lesson was attended by 50 five-years-old children from an urban kindergarten Nukieda, and they had to draw a picture at the end of the lecture on given subject: a message for the water. As a result of the lesson, all children agreed that they would now be very careful when treating every drop of water. Thus, the event helped the children's understanding the importance of water and the necessity of careful attitude to it.

The event was held with the assistance of the City Hall of Osaka (Department for External Relations, Department of Political Projects).
