    60th Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Union of Baltic Cities

    On March 11, 2011, the 60th Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Union of Baltic Cities (UBC) took place in Lahti (Finland), with the participation of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations.

    On March 11, 2011, the 60th Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Union of Baltic Cities (UBC) took place in Lahti (Finland), with the participation of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations.

    The meeting included the presentations of cities of Lahti (Finland) and Falun (Sweden), reports of the commissions for culture, urban planning, and gender issues, and the discussion on the strategy of the European Union in the Baltic Sea region, as well as strategies of UBC until 2015.

    In addition, preparations for the XI General Conference of the UBC in Liepaja (Latvia) in October 2011 were considered.

    The next meeting of the Executive Committee of the UBC is to be held in Karlstadt (Germany), on June 17, 2011.
