With the support of St.Petersburg Government, within the framework of inter-regional cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan, the presentation of the Fund of the Revival of Monuments of History and Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the conference hall of the Presidential Library named after B.N.Eltsin on February 15, 2011.
The presentation was attended by R.E.Filimonov, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, and M.Sh.Shaimiev, State Advisor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation “Revival”.

In his welcoming speech, R.E.Filimonov said that the idea of tolerance and toleration were the basis of social life in St.Petersburg, and our common obligation was to save the close connection between our cultures and to successfully develop it. He also noted that the Fund faced the challenges of the resurgence of Russian Muslim shrine – Town Bulgar, as well as Orthodox gem of the Volga – Island Sviyazhsk. In closing his speech, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg wished success to the organizers of the Revival Foundation in their noble endeavor.

“Our historical mission is to preserve what we still have, to revive and pass it on to future generations. Restoring of the historical appearance of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk will be the largest joint project of the government, businesses, religious organizations, and the public, whose name is ‘Revival’”, said M.Sh.Shaimiev, State Advisor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, during the presentation.
