    Ceremony of Closing the Year of Russia–France Took Place in St.Petersburg

    On December 17, 2010, the Russian Museum of Ethnography in St.Petersburg hosted the ceremony of closing the Year of Russia–France, which was attended by A.Yu. Manilova, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, Nicolas Chibaeff, General Commissioner of the Year of Russia–France on the French side, E. Barsaq, Consul General of France in St.Petersburg, and D. Casabonne, Deputy Mayor of Bordeaux.

    On December 17, 2010, the Russian Museum of Ethnography in St.Petersburg hosted the ceremony of closing the Year of Russia–France, which was attended by A.Yu. Casabonne, Deputy Mayor of Bordeaux.
    On this occasion, the final press conference with the members of St.Petersburg Government was held at the Grand Hall of Philharmonia named after Shostakovich, participated by A.V. Prokhorenko, Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations. Also, a concert was performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra “Radio France”.
    Within the framework of the ceremony of closing the Year Russia–France in St.Petersburg, the delegation of Bordeaux, headed by Didier Casabonne, Deputy Mayor, visited St.Petersburg.
    On December 17, during the delegation’s meeting with A.V. Prokhorenko, Member of St.Petersburg Government, Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, the joint work in 2010 was reviewed, and it was decided to establish a program of activities for cooperation between St.Petersburg and Bordeaux for 2011–2013. After the meeting, the parties fixed the agreements reached in the minutes of negotiations.
    Under the expected future collaboration on the renovation and collaboration with UNESCO, the delegation of Bordeaux, with the participation of the Committee for State Control, Usage, and Protection of Monuments of History and Culture of St.Petersburg, visited the UNESCO heritage sites in St.Petersburg (the historical center of Bordeaux was included in the UNESCO List of World Heritage in 2007).
