On November 26, 2010, the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the monument to Francisco de Miranda, national hero of Venezuela, took place at the Park of Tercentenary to St.Petersburg.
The ceremony was attended by Hugo Jose Garcia Hernandez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela in Russia, the representatives of the Committee for External Relations at the Administration of Primorsky District of St.Petersburg, public organizations, and city schools.
