    Presentation of the book “St.Petersburg–France: Science, Culture, Politics”

    On November 24, 2010, the Hotel Ambassador hosted a presentation of a book comprising the selection of articles “St.Petersburg–France: Science, Culture, Politics”. The event was timed to the completion of the St.Petersburg Program of the Year of France in Russia.

    On November 24, 2010, the Hotel Ambassador hosted a presentation of a book comprising the selection of articles “St.Petersburg–France: Science, Culture, Politics”. The event was timed to the completion of the St.Petersburg Program of the Year of France in Russia.

    Involved were: A.V. Prokhorenko, Member of St.Petersburg Government, Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, Editor of the series “St.Petersburg and the World”, E. Barsac, Consul General of France in Saint-Petersburg, E. de Lumley, Director of French Institute in St.Petersburg, V.N. Pleshkov, Director of St.Petersburg Institute of History, Doctor of Historical Sciences, S.B. Koreneva, Project Manager, Senior Specialist for External Relations at St.Petersburg Scientific Center at RAS, E.N. Kalschikov, Director of publishing house “European House”.

    Invited were: The authors of articles, experts, scientists, representatives of the Consulate General of France in Saint-Petersburg.

    The book of information and analytical materials “St.Petersburg–France: Science, Culture, Politics” was the seventh in a series “St.Petersburg and the World”, issued by the publishing house “European House” with the support of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations. Previous edition in the series were devoted to a historical overview and current issues of St.Petersburg interaction with Finland, China (in Russian and Chinese), Germany, Holland, USA, and India.
