On July 12, 2010, A.V. Prokhorenko, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations, met in Smolny with the representatives of Joint Jewish Community of New York as part of community’s special mission “White Nights in St.Petersburg”.
Among the delegation members, there were representatives of business, financial institutions, charitable organizations of New York. Delegation was headed by Alisa Robbins Doctoroff, Chairman of the Council of Joint Jewish Community in New York.
During the meeting, A.V. Prokhorenko, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations, answered the questions of the delegation members on the economic conditions in St.Petersburg, the ethnic policy in St.Petersburg, the actions taken by the Government of St.Petersburg to provide social assistance for the people, etc.
