On April 27, 2010, at a meeting of St.Petersburg Government, A.V. Prokhorenko, Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, made a report on the outcome of 2009 from the St.Petersburg Government Program for 2008–2010 on implementing the state policy of Russian Federation concerning the compatriots abroad.
On April 27, 2010, at a meeting of St.Petersburg Government, A.V. Prokhorenko, Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, made a report on the outcome of 2009 from the St.Petersburg Government Program for 2008–2010 on implementing the state policy of Russian Federation concerning the compatriots abroad.
The reports on the implementation of the Programme and work with compatriots abroad were also made by:
• A.V. Kobak, Executive Director of International Charity Foundation named after D.S. Likhachev;
• F.M. Mukhametshin, Head of Federal Agency over the Commonwealth of Independent States, compatriots living abroad, and international humanitarian cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
St.Petersburg Government decided to consider the work in this direction as success and to admit the necessity of developing a program of St.Petersburg Government on implementing the state policy of Russian Federation concerning the compatriots abroad in 2011-2013.
