On January 28 through February 2, 2010, the traditional Days of Scotland were held in St.Petersburg, organized by the St.Petersburg Association for International Cooperation and the St.Petersburg forum (Town Paisley), along with St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations and the National Library of Russia, as well as cultural and educational institutions and schools of the city, with the support of the Consulate General of Great Britain.

Within the confines of the Days:
- a book-illustrative exhibition "Scottish. Folk Costume and National Cuisine" was opened at the National Library of Russia, which presented the books describing the folk traditions, history, and culture of Scotland, and engravings and albums from the collections of NLR, as well as the artworks by the St.Petersburg pupils, devoted to the works of Scottish artists.
- the award winners were determined for the literary and artistic competitions, as well as the contest on the history and culture of Scotland for the St.Petersburg pupils.
- the traditional evening dedicated to Scottish poet Robert Burns was held.
