On December 8, 2009, a gala meeting and a festive concert devoted to the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty establishing the Union State of Russia and Belarus was held in Saint-Petersburg State Academic Capella named after M. Glinka, by the initiative of public organization «Russian-Belarusian Brotherhood» and with the support of the Committee on External Relations of St.Petersburg.
On December 8, 2009, a gala meeting and a festive concert devoted to the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty establishing the Union State of Russia and Belarus was held in Saint-Petersburg State Academic Capella named after M. Glinka, by the initiative of public organization «Russian-Belarusian Brotherhood» and with the support of the Committee on External Relations of St.Petersburg.
Before the concert, M.E. Oseevskiy, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, and D.A. Sivitsky, Head of St.Petersburg Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus, gave welcome speeches to the audience.
They mentioned that St.Petersburg and Belarus had always been linked with close partnership and friendly relations that continue to evolve, partly due to the work of the Business Cooperation Council of St.Petersburg and the Republic of Belarus.
The concert was participated by the State Academic Capella Choir under the baton of Vladislav Chernushenko, as well as the guests from Belarus – a vocal group «Clear Voice».
