    Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ireland in Russia Visited St.Petersburg

    On October 19 through 21, 2009, Philip McDonagh, the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland in Russia, visited St.Petersburg. The visit was organized with the assistance of A.P. Shashin, Honorary Consul of Ireland in St. Petersburg.

    On October 19 through 21, 2009, Philip McDonagh, the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland in Russia, visited St.Petersburg. The visit was organized with the assistance of A.P. Shashin, Honorary Consul of Ireland in St. Petersburg.

    During the visit, P. McDonagh met with A.I. Vakhmistrov, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation in economy, innovation, pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, culture, and education.

    Irish Ambassador also met with I.A. Maksimtsev, Rector of St.Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, and visited the Russian Museum, National Library, Rumyantsev Mansion, and Museum "Monument to the Heroic Defenders of Leningrad".
