    Rotterdam Delegation Visited St.Petersburg

    On September 22 through 24, 2009, St.Petersburg was visited by the delegation of Rotterdam (Netherlands), headed by Ahmed Abutaleb, City Mayor. This visit is devoted to 25 years of establishing the twin city ties between St.Petersburg and Rotterdam.

    On September 22 through 24, 2009, St.Petersburg was visited by the delegation of Rotterdam (Netherlands), headed by Ahmed Abutaleb, City Mayor. This visit is devoted to 25 years of establishing the twin city ties between St.Petersburg and Rotterdam.

    On September 23, 2009, Mr Abutaleb met with V.I. Matvienko, St.Petersburg Governor, in Smolny.

    The delegation participated in the work of Dutch pavilion at the International Exhibition on Shipbuilding and Navigation Neva-2009 held at LenExpo Center on September 22 through 25, where the Dutch shipbuilding companies were among the exhibitors.

    During the exhibition, there was a solemn opening of the Dutch Maritime House, as a part of the program "Focussing on Russia", funded by the Ministry of Economical Development of the Netherlands.

    The ceremony of opening the Maritime House was attended by Mr Abutaleb, Mayor of Rotterdam, and N.A. Asaul, Chairman of the Committee on Transport and Transit Policy of Saint Petersburg.
