    Gordana Perazic, a Member of an Ancient Clan of Montenegrins, Visited St.Petersburg

    On September 9, A.M. Petruk, Acting Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, met in Smolny with Gordana Perazic, a member of an ancient clan of Montenegrins that has been working in Russia since the XIX century.

    On September 9, A.M. Petruk, Acting Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, met in Smolny with Gordana Perazic, a member of an ancient clan of Montenegrins that has been working in Russia since the XIX century.

    The visit of G. Perazic is devoted to the historical research on the role of representatives of royal families of Montenegro in Russia in the late XIX – early XX centuries.

    At the meeting, the prospects of cooperation between St.Petersburg and Montenegro were discussed, concerning the area of culture, in the anticipation of the tercentenary of establishing diplomatic relations between Russia and Montenegro (June 2011).

    Gordana Perazic worked in Leningrad during 1970–80s and represented the largest travel company of Yugoslavia. G. Perazic devoted over 30 years to the development of Russo-Yugoslav (later – Russo-Montenegrin) cultural ties. In 2009, G. Perazic was bestowed a Certificate of Honor of the Governor of St.Petersburg “For Contribution to the Development of Friendly Relations between Montenegro and St.Petersburg”.
