Between 24 and 29 June, 2009 The delegation of the City of Haifa (Israel) visited St.Petersburg, headed by Mr Yonah Yahav, Lord Mayor of Haifa.
During the visit, they met with V.I. Matvienko, Governor of St.Petersburg, and discussed the issues of cooperation in in the areas of trade and economy, as well as urban management. V.I. Matvienko invited the Israeli side to take part in the Russian Innovation Week, planned to be held in St.Petersburg on September 30 through October 3, 2009.
The delegation also met with:

M. Ordzhonikidze, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Investments and Strategic Projects and Head of the Tourism Department, to discuss the development of the cooperation in the area of tourism;

V.I. Katenev, President of St.Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry;

N.M. Kuleshova, Deputy Director of the State Russian Museum. As a result, it was agreed to deploy the affiliation of «Russian Museum Goes Virtual» in Haifa.
