Polish training sailship «Dar Mоlodezhy» (Gift of Youth) visited St.Petersburg on June 20 through 21, 2009, with the representatives of Polish mass-media (120 people) on board.
The sailship arrived to St.Petersburg prior to its participation in the regatta «The Tall Ships Racing 2009», a stage of which would take place in St.Petersburg on July 11 through 14, 2009.
The visit was aimed to make the Polish people familiar with the cities participants of the regatta.
During the visit, the representatives of Polish mass-media met with A.V. Prokhorenko, Chairman of Committee for External Relations of St.Petersburg , and A.N. Chernykh, a deputy of St.Petersburg Legislative Assembly. The journalists visited the Marine Facade and the group of companies Transas.
As a part of cultural program for the journalists, a city sightseeing tour and visiting the Hermitage were organized.
The Petersburgers were kindly given the opportunity to visit the sailship «Dar Mоlodezhy » when moored.
