    P.Lehtomaki, Finnish Minister of Environment, visited St.Petersburg

    P. Lehtomäki, Finnish Minister of Environment, visited St.Petersburg on June 9 through 10, 2009, to join the celebration of 20th anniversary of cooperation of GUP «Vodokanal St.Petersburg» and the Ministry of Environment of Finland.

    P. Lehtomäki, Finnish Minister of Environment, visited St.Petersburg on June 9 through 10, 2009, to join the celebration of 20th anniversary of cooperation of GUP «Vodokanal St.Petersburg» and the Ministry of Environment of Finland.

    During the visit, an agreement was signed between SUE «Vodokanal Saint Petersburg» and the Ministry of Environment of Finland, to grant an amount of € 6.1 million for the completion of construction of the Northern collector.

    Ms Lehtomäki visited the Museum of Water and the exhibition «The Universe of Water» arranged by SUE «Vodokanal St.Petersburg», as well as Southwest Sewage Treatment Plant and North Aeration Station; she also took part in the festivities on the anniversary.

    The program of the celebration included a conference, attended by the representatives of the Government of Finland and St.Petersburg, water canals of St.Petersburg and Helsinki, as well as the public of St.Petersburg and Finland.
