I.O. Lonskiy, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations, met in Smolny with the delegation of Spanish province of Alicante led by Rafael Vives, Mayor of Daya Vieja, on April 23, 2009.
During the meeting, the opinions were exchanged on the opportunities of developing the cooperation between St.Petersburg and Province of Alicante. The representatives of Alicante expressed their interest in development of business and cultural cooperation and tourism, as well as arranging the direct aerial connection with St.Petersburg.
