    Russo-Italian Economic Forum Held in St.Petersburg

    The Russo-Italian economic forum started in Moscow on April 7. It was opened by V.V. Putin, Chairman of the Government of Russian Federation. The second stage of the forum continued in four cities of Russia on April 8: these were St.Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Krasnodar, and Novosibirsk.


    The Russo-Italian economic forum started in Moscow on April 7. It was opened by V.V. Putin, Chairman of the Government of Russian Federation. The second stage of the forum continued in four cities of Russia on April 8: these were St.Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Krasnodar, and Novosibirsk.

    The Petersburg forum became the largest regional stage, judging by the number of participants from Italian side. 180 companies and 4 large banks of this country participated in it. Over 500 Petersburg enterprises stated their interest in the development of business cooperation. According to the organizers (Ministry for Economic Development of Italy, Confederation of Italian Industry, Institute of Foreign Trade of Italy, and Italian Banking Association), every Italian company already had about ten meetings in St.Petersburg with potential partners. The delegation of Italian businessmen was headed by Adolfo Urso, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Italy.

    Before opening the forum, M.E. Oseevskiy, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, and A.Urso had a conversation. M.E.Oseevskiy also greeted the participants of the forum at the opening ceremony and conveyed to A.Urso the welcome words of V.I. Matvienko, Governor of St.Petersburg.

    M.E. Oseevskiy expressed his profound condolence on the tragical consequences of earthquake in Italy.
